THE EVOLUTION OF NUVIEW

Launched in 2013, NuView began as a newsletter for Merchandising Inc. members, complete with industry interviews, fashion trend and beauty features, and imagery from photo shoots styled, photographed, and directed entirely by students in the organization. Merchandising Inc. members were involved as writers and editors, and benefited from learning to work together to produce something creative and entirely new.

In the Spring of 2015, the NuView team expanded and the publication was reformatted into a more polished, professional, and purposeful 30+ page college magazine publication.  Under the leadership of NuView founder and 2014-15 Merchandising Inc. President, Subrina Hossain, the team successfully published two issues.

In October of 2015,  current NuView Editor-in-Chief, Ashley Nudge, relaunched NuView as a blog within the Merchandising Inc. website. Featuring content focused solely on fashion and careers, the NuView blog has become a unique career exploration and fashion inspiration resource for our members. WHO WE ARE

Merchandising Inc.’s blog, NuView, is the organization’s online resource for career exploration and peer connectivity.

We’re curious. We venture off-campus, networking and providing members with insight into the careers of Dallas-based retail professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs. 
We’re honest. We help members narrow their interests with internship reviews that explain both the good and the bad. We prepare them for the doors that will open in the future.  
We’re appreciative. We bring attention to students who are already making their mark in the fashion world… those with passion, talent, and a story to tell. 
We’re aware. We showcase what is being worn on campus and on the runways. We curate resources that our members will find useful and thought-provoking. 

 We’re here to connect, to share, to enlighten, and to inspire.
